Fishing access site has weedy old fields with lush tall herbs, and weedy open cobble bar along the river edge. Other floodplain forests nearby are dominated by sycamore. Extensive thickets of osage orange also occur on access site.;Disturbed floodplain in an agricultural valley. There are small patches, mostly young, of floodplain forests in the most flood prone zones along the river edge. This stand is older than most, and is dominated by large cottonwoods growing in clusters. There is fluvial topography of levees and swales and stand is located in a back channel behind the fishing access parking lot, recieves gravel run off from parking lot.
Representativeness
Most of small patch floodplain forest dominated by clones of Populus deltoides. Downstream is another much younger stand developing on younger deposition.
